God blesses YOU, to bless

“And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.” Genesis 12:2
How we define things mostly influences how we value them, and that, in turn, shapes how we treat them. A million-dollar diamond to a child is just a shining stone and could be broken with a $10 hammer if given the chance. To God, each life is worth more than all the world’s gold, and there is a multiplier effect to every one of God’s creations that extends beyond our families and the boundaries of our homes. We are made for more — to reach more and impact more for the Kingdom's sake.
Luke 12:48 says, “Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more.” To simplify our lives, it’s vital that we keep the big picture in mind and affirm God’s role in shaping our existence. He gives to us so we can give to others, not to hoard any of it—the talents, wealth, and all treasures we hold dear. Most people spend their whole lives chasing after the wind and pursuing the mysteriously unachievable rest in their piles of worldly treasures. It’s God’s to bless, and ours to share. To live in peace and find fulfillment, we must be willing to give what we receive. In doing so, we don’t empty the blessing bowl; we simply position ourselves as an extension of Heaven.
Luke 6:38 says, “Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure, you use it will be measured back to you.” It’s an unbreakable chain reaction, guaranteed and backed by Heaven. Every drop of blessing we give to the world adds more to us. The Bible literally says, "The cup of a giver will keep running over.”
There is more to live for than what we settle for, and we do ourselves an injustice by narrowing the broad impact God intends for us to fulfill. Living only for ourselves and within our small circle of influence in a vast world limits the potential of our lives. We are God’s creation, made for dominion. While we can’t assume God’s role, we can use His blessings to honor Him and bring healing to a broken world.
