All you need to do all God sent you to do

“Moses answered, “What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, ‘The Lord did not appear to you’?” Then the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?” “A staff,” he replied.” Exodus 4:1-2

The magnitude of Moses's adventures with God has captivated generations and serves as the most pivotal story of redemption from bondage outside Christ’s death and resurrection. The number of humans God used him to deliver from slavery at once, with wisdom, patience, organization, and management needed to handle them, is baffling. He stood against the most powerful man of his time; with courage he lacked by birth but gained by knowing God. The same man who fled for his life after taking one now fights boldly for an entire nation.

He was a warrior, a leader, a deliverer. From the ten plagues, the parting of the Red Sea, the water from the rock, and especially leading the most stubborn group of people to the promised land, he became one of the most influential humans to walk the earth. However, Moses’ story, although consequential, started out in fear. His mother hid him from being murdered before he could say his first word, and had to play a trick on the opposition to help him survive.

It doesn’t matter the roads you’ve walked to get to where you are today, because God can redeem and use your history for His glory. Like Moses, you might have a long list of excuses for why He can’t use you, but He wants you to know that you are enough. When God calls you, step out in faith; you can rest assured that He will guide you, help you, and fight for you.

Nothing limits you; no disability or inabilities can limit the overflow of God’s grace. It’s not about your shiny trophies, affluent geography, or acclaimed biography; it’s about the Almighty God going before you to make crooked places straight for the glory and praise of His name. Isaiah 45:2 says, “I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of brass and cut in sunder the bars of iron.”

With the right heart, God will use anything He finds in your hand to accomplish His will. He will take that seemingly unappreciated gift you wish to share with your family, your neighbor, and the world, and turn it into a weapon of war against the devil and a symbol of honor and power for the Kingdom. If God sends you, He will give you all that you need to do all that He sends you to do.
